HELP OTHERS   LIKE RICHARD

This letter has proven to be one of the most difficult letters I have ever tried to write, not because the sentiment is lacking, but rather I cannot find words adequate to express my gratitude for the renewed chance at life that you and your foundation has so generously provided me with..... I underwent a triple coronary artery bypass graft at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Remembering your description of the lifestyle that lead to your cardiac crisis, I must admit I was a mirror image: smoking and drinking in my younger days and eating whatever the impulse dictated. This Friday it will be one month since the surgery and the doctors have pronounced me well ahead of the recovery curve....I will close with this thought: as long as I draw a breath and this heart continues to beat, I am unendingly thankful to you and the foundation...God Bless You.
